Mr. BJ Carnahan
Mr. Barry Carnahan started training at the National Karate Schools of Martial Arts in 1984 at the age of 4 years old. Mr. Carnahan began his teaching career at the young age of 13 as an assistant instructor. Some 24 years later, he now holds the Master Degree rank of 5th degree black belt. He is currently the ""Head Master Instructor and School Director" of the Arden Hills National Karate School of Minnesota.
In addition to his teachings in the Martial Arts, Mr. Carnahan has consistently been rated highly on the world, national and local sport karate scene since he started competing as an adult. He has won seven "Best Fighter of the Year" titles by the local Minnesota ÒNorth Central Sport Karate AssociationÓ and on the world stage, was crowned the Heavy Weight Fighting World Champion in 2004 by the North American Sport Karate Association (NASKA). Since his 2004 World Title, he has continued to be in the top five world rated Heavy Weights to this day. Far from satisfied with all his tournament success, Mr. Carnahan just recently captured the "SuperFight Title" at the Capitol Classics World Karate Championship in Washington D.C. Mr. Carnahan continues fighting in Sport Karate today and is one of the most respected Black Belt Fighters in the World.
Mr. Carnahan graduated in 2003 from Hamline University of Minnesota with a BA degree in Psychology. Since graduating from Hamline University, Mr. Carnahan has continued his studies and is currently finishing a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine including Acupuncture, Herbology and Asian Body Work Therapies.
