Mr. Gary Halonen
Mr. Halonen began his martial arts training over twenty years ago and has been active ever since. Karate is a way of life and Mr. Halonen exemplifies that way of life in his actions and his goals. He has been a national competitor throughout his career and earned the coveted "competitor of the year" award before he became an instructor. Today, Mr. Halonen teaches at St. Cloud and Sartell National Karate Schools. He has three grown children who have all been active in karate. His son, James teaches at both schools and his daughter, Christa, is the director of Sartell National Karate.
Mr. Halonen hopes to be able to help other parents and students realize the benefits that karate has brought to his family. "Watching and assisting as my students grow in confidence and ability is a wonderful thing. I share the pride in their accomplishments as they gain martial arts skills."
