Ms. Lemon began her karate journey in 1994 at the age of 8. Ms. Carrie Fuerstenberg was her primary instructor and a huge influence on the energy and experience she brings to the classroom today. She obtained her first black belt on March 6, 1999.
While competing has always been a major joy in her life, She took about 15 years off to grow as an individual, leader and competitor. After a long hiatus she returned to competing in 2021. At the 2022 Diamond Nationals she placed 1st in the 30+ Women Sparring division and was a Grand Champion Runner Up. National Karate has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. “NK has helped shape me into the person that I am today, and I’m grateful now to be in a position as an owner where I can have the same impact on the lives of so many others.” – Emily Lemon
