St. Cloud National Karate is proud of its excellent instructors and staff. Mr. Gary Halonen began his training over 35 years ago, and he now holds the rank of 5th degree black belt. As the owner of National Karate St. Cloud, Mr. Halonen believes karate training emphasizes not only physical fitness and technique but also mental discipline and focus, which are essential components of martial arts training.
He has spent years in dedicated training and competition and now finds satisfaction in helping students achieve these same training goals. He teaches new and experienced students and self-defense classes as well as coaching sparring classes and competitors. Mr. Halonen’s dedication to martial arts, his commitment to his school and students, and his passion for empowering individual competitors support every one of his students as they work to achieve their personal best. From a childhood dream of becoming a Power Ranger to earning his 5th-degree black belt.
Built Through Years of Competition
I competed on both the regional and national circuit from 1986 through 2005.
