Mr. Bruce Nelson started martial arts training in 1980. He joined the National Karate team in 1986 under the direction of Mr. John Worley, Mr. Mark Schindler and Mr. Scott Masterton.

Hi Everyone. There will be No Zoom class tonight because the instructors had concerns about traveling to the designated school up in the Twin Cities to record the class.

There will be a Zoom schedule emailed out tomorrow showing the class schedule only through mid month.

The Friday Masters series continues with 8th degree Master Cristian Nelson ! Another great opportunity to learn from one of National Karate's premier instructors!

Master Cristian Nelson is the owner 5 National Karate schools in Chicago, IL. He began training in 1983 under the expert tutelage of 10th Degree Black Belt, Grand Master John Worley, and Kickboxing champion Scott Masterton.
Some of his awards include several “School of the Year” awards, “Instructor of the Year”, “Top Competitor Award” for fighting, 8 time winner of the “School of Champions” award, the “John Worley Leadership Award” for organizational excellence and his schools in Chicago have been named “Best Martial Arts Studio’s” in the Chicagoland area by local media for the last 9 years in a row. Out of the 13,000 students promoted to Black Belt in the National Karate system, Mr. Nelson is only the fourth person to be promoted to 8th Degree.

The Master Friday series continues tomorrow with 8th degree Master Scott Masterton. This is great opportunity to take a class with one of National Karate's premiere instructors. Master Masterton began his karate training in 1978 and was promoted to first degree black belt in 1982. Master Masterton’s martial arts career also includes winning the US Super-middle Weight kickboxing title. Scott Masterton has an undefeated professional kickboxing record of 24 win, 0 losses & 14 KO’s! He is also a member of the Diamond Nationals Hall of Fame!

With more than 30 years of teaching experience, Master Masterton has had the honor and privilege of teaching and working with some of the top National Karate instructors and competitors: a few include Mr. Kelly Worley, Mr. Cris Nelson, Mr. William Hill, Mr. Jesse Zaragoza and Mr. Alex Dingmann as well as many others. Mr. Masterton says: fitness and self-defense are the outside benefits of karate training, but the real gifts are the ones that we carry with us whether we’re wearing a karate uniform or not: Discipline, honor, respect and humility walk with us every day.
