About Richfield National Karate

Richfield/Edina National Karate is located near 494 and Lyndale Ave S. We opened in Oct. 2022 after relocating from our long-time home at Centennial lakes on France Ave. Our new facility has a lobby area with an open view of the classroom. We have two bathroom/changing rooms, large, padded floor with mirrors on one wall and lots of windows. We want the neighborhood to see how cool Karate is and give it a shot.

New students can join the beginner class after a private introductory lesson that you can schedule at your convenience. Beginner classes are 30 min and are offered four days a week. Average attendance is about twice a week. The class sizes are usually between 5 and 10 students often with multiple instructors. We want every class to be fun and engaging for all levels and ages.

I am Joe Huber, instructor and school director. I love sharing karate with people and helping them to discover their potential. When I was 10 years old, I had my first Karate lesson. It was a huge day for me. I remember getting out of bed that morning excited to learn karate. When I get to introduce a new student of any age to karate, I can see that same excitement. It’s awesome. Guiding that student along their journey to black belt is a huge honor and a lot of fun. Karate training is one of the most rewarding and honest endeavors that I have found. You will get out of it exactly what you put in, whatever you martial arts goals are, karate training is really good for you, and it has been wonderful for me.

My daughter has won three Diamond Nationals age group titles. She would not have accomplished this without Kelly Worley and his instructors.
